Three Key Lessons of CCNA

 

There are different lessons in Cisco CCNA Certification. Network engineers need to learn these lessons and pass CCNA 200-301 exam. To do this, after learning each CCNA lesson, they should practice with different questions and answers with a CCNA practice test.  In this article, we will talk about key four lessons of Cisco CCNA certification. These lessons are the foundation lessons of Cisco CCNA certification.

 




OSI Model

 

OSI Reference model is one of the most important beginner lessons of an entry level network certification. This model summarizes the network concepts and protocols. We can understand the level of networking with OSI model. There are seven layers in OSI model. These are:

 

·         Application Layer

·         Presentation Layer

·         Session Layer

·         Transport Layer

·         Network Layer

·         Data-Link Layer

·         Physical Layer

 

You learn the protocols of each layer and the concepts of this layers. For example, in physical layer, you learn network cabling. Basically, osi model is the summary of networking. But beside OSI model, there is also another model named TCP/IP model.

 

TCP/IP Model

 

Tcpip model is the second model used in networking. Basically, it has 4 layers before but at the recent model it has 5 layers. These layers are similar to OSI model but with a difference. In tcpip model, the last three layers are combined in one application layer. So what are the layers of tcpip model? These are:

 

·         Application Layer

·         Transport Layer

·         Internet Layer

·         Data-Link Layer

·         Physical Layer

 

Recently, tcpip model is more popular than osi model. Even in CCNA 200-301 exam, tcpip model is covered. Some parts are very similar to osi model. For example, in physical layer, network cabling is done also in tcpip model.

 

Interior Gateway Protocols

 

There are various network protocols used in networking world. One of the most important ones are interior gateway protocols. Cisco CCNA certification and other network certifications covers these routing protocols in certification lessons. So, what are these interior gateway protocols? These are given below:

 

·         RIP

·         OSPF

·         EIGRP

·         IS-IS

 

All these protocols are used as interior gateway protocols (IGPs). In CCNA certification course, there are special lesson for each of these protocols but as an overview, interior gateway protocols are covered. So, we can separate this overview as a one lesson.

 

CCNA Practice Test

 

After learning these lessons, it is important to practice on these lessons. There are many network questions and answers on these lessons. So, you can use a CCNA practice test to practice on these lessons. Cisco CCNA 200-301 needs more practice on different questions. If you solve different questions, you can pass your exam easily. Beside solving different questions will prepare you to real life networking. You can be more experienced in your real network job if you solve CCNA practice Test.
